Photography

Here are some of my own personal photographs with corresponding quotations; I dabble in photography, but am by no means an expert.

The Edges of Time: It is at the edges/ that time thins./ Time which had been/dense and viscous/ as amber suspending/ intentions like bees/ unseizes them./ A humming begins,/apparently coming/ from stacks of/ put-off things or/  just in back. A/ racket of claims now,/ as time flattens. A/ glittering fan of things/ competing to happen,/ brilliant and urgent/ as fish when seas retreat. Kay Ryan
A commodity appears at first sight an extremely obvious, trivial thing. But its analysis bring out that it is a very strange thing, abounding in metaphysical subtleties and theological niceties. Karl Marx
The observer, when he seems to himself to be observing a stone, is really, if physics is to be believe, observing the effects of the stone upon himself. Bertrand Russell
Lawyer says client is not that guilty. Anonymous Advert

Occasionally in life there are those moments of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be completely explained by those symbols called words. Their meanings can only be articulated by the inaudible language of the heart. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The work of an intellectual is not to mould the political will of others; it is, through the analysis that he does in his own field, to re-examine evidence and assumptions, to shape habitual ways of working and thinking, to dissipate conventional familiarities, to re-evaluate rules and institutions and to participate in the formation of a political will (where he has his role as citizen to play).

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sigmund Freud
